General

Is LyricsFlow MVMaker free?

Yes. The editor and MP4 export are free to use and require no account. The site is supported by advertising. If you choose to use the Groq or OpenAI transcription APIs, those services may charge you according to their own pricing — the in-browser Whisper option is free.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in a modern web browser. A recent version of Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer gives the best export speed.

Does it work on smartphones?

The editor has a mobile layout and you can preview and edit on a phone. Exporting a full-length song is heavy work, though, and is considerably faster and more reliable on a PC.

Privacy and files

Are my songs uploaded to your server?

No. Audio files, lyric files and exported videos are processed locally in your browser. We do not receive or store them. The only exception is when you deliberately use the Groq or OpenAI transcription API: then your browser sends the audio directly to the provider you selected. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Where is my API key stored?

In your browser's localStorage on your own device. It is sent only to the API provider you chose (Groq or OpenAI) when you start a transcription. You can delete it at any time by clearing the field or your browser's site data.

Which file formats are supported?

Audio: any format your browser can decode, typically MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC and OGG. Lyrics: SRT subtitle files and LRC lyric files. Projects: the JSON timeline files created by Save Timeline.

Can I save my work and continue later?

Yes. Use 💾 Save Timeline to download a JSON file with all phrases, timings and effects, and 📂 Load Timeline to restore it. Load the same audio file again after restoring.

Lyrics and timing

I only have plain lyrics, not an SRT. What can I do?

Either create the timings yourself (our SRT tutorial shows how) or use the automatic Whisper transcription in the editor, then correct the text.

What is the difference between SRT and LRC?

SRT stores a start and an end time for each line; LRC stores only a start time. Both work in the editor. Read SRT vs LRC for a full comparison.

Can two lines be on screen at the same time?

Yes. Each phrase can be placed on Lane 1 (upper) or Lane 2 (lower), so overlapping lines such as backing vocals or duets are displayed together.

Export

What video format is exported?

MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, which plays on practically every device and is accepted by YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and X. Resolutions: 1280×720, 1920×1080, 720×1280, 1080×1920 and 1080×1080, at 30 or 60 fps.

Is there a watermark?

A small logo is placed in the lower-right corner of exported videos. You are free to crop or cover it with any video editing software.

Export failed or the browser froze. What should I try?

Close other heavy tabs and apps, keep the editor tab in the foreground, and try a lower setting (720p, 30 fps, 3–6 Mbps). Very long tracks need more memory; if possible, use a desktop browser with plenty of RAM.

Copyright and usage

Can I use the videos commercially?

The animations and backgrounds generated by the editor may be used in your own videos, including monetised ones. However, you are responsible for having the rights to the music and lyrics you use. See the Terms of Use.

Can I make a lyric video for someone else's song?

Only if you have permission from the rights holders or your use is otherwise allowed by law and by the platform you upload to. Many platforms detect copyrighted music automatically. Creating videos for your own original songs, or songs you have licensed, is the safest use.

Ready to make your own lyric video? It runs entirely in your browser — free, no sign-up.
