Kinetic Typography Effects & Backgrounds List
LyricsFlow MVMaker currently offers 44 entry animations, 31 exit animations and 30 animated backgrounds. Each phrase gets one IN motion (how the line appears) and one OUT motion (how it leaves), so there are hundreds of combinations to choose from.
How to choose an effect
Motion should follow the music. A few rules of thumb:
- Hard hits and drops — impact-type motions (Impact Snap, Meteor Smash, Heavy Stamp Impact, Mega Zoom) land exactly on a beat. Start the phrase a frame or two before the kick so the "hit" coincides with it.
- Fast verses and rap — short, crisp motions (Slash Slide, Kinetic Slide, Stretch Snap, Jitter Wiggle) keep up with dense lyrics without blurring them.
- Ballads and calm sections — soft motions (Wave Float, Ink Bleed Spread, Typewriter, Scroll Ribbon Unroll) leave time to read and feel the words.
- Electronic, hyperpop and glitchy genres — RGB Glitch Split, Cyber Glitch, Strobe Neon and Scramble Cipher Decode fit digital textures.
- Contrast — use the most dramatic effect for the first line of the chorus and something calmer for the line after it. If every line explodes, nothing stands out.
